This portrait of Jack is from a body of work titled OVERWHELM, piecing together images from across my archive in an attempt to explore a generation's experience of connectivity. Across these photographs are signifiers of both technological progress and physical weight. Here the word FUTURE looms on Jack's chest, his brow heavy, and he sits for the camera beneath a clock ticking forward. In a breathless culture of notifications, uploads, emails, buffering, buzzing, wifi hotspots and low battery - it is important to wonder what the future might hold.
