Eleanor Brade

I have an Irish mother and an English father. My early years were spent in India and I grew up on the Welsh borders. Small wonder, then, that I am a student of social anthropology, intrigued by people. I have loved embracing Scotland in my university years. Using my grandfather's old 35mm film camera has been the most satisfying method of observing people and capturing character and moment.

This photo of Julia, my cousin, was taken as she stood next to the window with the evening light streaming through, impatient for us to start reading bed-time stories.
