For Theresa, Gleann Fhionghain represents bravery. Her granny left her family and the islands for Gleann Fhionghain in order to support her children. It is also where Charles Edward Stuart landed to raise the Jacobite Standard. Theresa’s nakedness is a quest for truth and reclaiming of Gaelic women in that history.
As a photographer, I explore connections between people, place and culture. The camera is my tool for sharing time with interesting people in extraordinary places. I have exhibited widely including following an Antarctic Arts Fellowship and residencies in Bolivia, Canada, Scotland and the deserts of Central Australia.
